Meet Si
Si brings over 25 years of experience supporting adults, teenagers, and families through complex emotional and life challenges, alongside professional counselling training.
He is known for being approachable, non-judgemental, and unshockable, providing a safe and supportive space where clients can talk openly about whatever they are facing.
Si specialises in working with clients who are:
- Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or struggling to cope with relationship or family pressures.
- Teenagers, or parents of teenagers, dealing with anxiety, school stress, friendship issues, or low confidence that is significantly affecting everyday life.
- People who have spent years caring for others but find it difficult to care for themselves.
- Individuals working in caring or uniformed professions who are experiencing burnout, stress, trauma, or moral injury.

Si has a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced toxic workplace environments and moral injury—the psychological harm caused when a person’s values, conscience, or sense of right and wrong are deeply violated. He also welcomes and supports people from alternative lifestyles and diverse backgrounds.
He is experienced in working with both adults and young people aged 11 to 18.
Qualifications and professional registration
Si is a qualified counsellor and is registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
His qualifications include:
- Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Skills
- Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People, completed as part of his post-qualification specialism
In addition, Si remains a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and holds an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service.
Personal experience
Alongside his professional background, Si brings valuable lived experience to his work. He is married to a former foster carer, and together they are adoptive parents to two children with special educational needs, trauma, and autism.
This personal journey has given him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by foster carers, adopters, and families who have experienced the disruption of an adoptive placement. He is passionate about supporting these individuals with empathy, understanding, and compassion.
