Sherry is a compassionate and committed counsellor who supports individuals and couples in overcoming emotional difficulties, building resilience, and enhancing their overall well-being. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

She completed her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, followed by a Postgraduate COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate. She is now in the final stage of a Postgraduate Level 11 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and groupwork, working towards full accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Sherry works in accordance with BABCP professional standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring a safe, effective, and high-quality therapeutic practice. Alongside this, she has undertaken Pearson-accredited training in autism spectrum disorder  and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), equipping her with specialist knowledge to support neurodivergent clients and their families.

Her professional and voluntary experience is both diverse and impactful. She previously volunteered with the Broomhouse Big Project, supporting individuals within the school community, and with Victim Support, providing guidance and emotional support to people affected by crime and trauma. Currently, as a part of MSW collaboration, she also works as a School Life Coach at Fettes College, one of Scotland’s most prestigious independent schools, renowned internationally for its academic excellence and commitment to pastoral care. In this role, she helps young people navigate personal challenges, build resilience, and develop emotional awareness – experience that deeply enriches her therapeutic practice.

In addition to individual counselling, Sherry provides couples and relationship support. She draws on her knowledge of attachment styles, boundaries, and relationship dynamics to help partners understand the patterns influencing their connection. Her sessions are highly practical, with content that extends beyond the therapy room into daily life, encouraging couples to apply new skills and insights in real-world interactions. By emphasising the importance of practicing healthier communication, boundary-setting, and emotional regulation outside of sessions, she empowers couples to make sustainable changes and strengthen their relationships in meaningful ways.

She is also undertaking a Developmental Psychology Master’s degree, motivated by her interest in how early experiences influence emotional and relational patterns throughout life. This advanced training enhances her ability to integrate developmental insight into her therapeutic work, offering clients a more comprehensive and informed approach.

Her expertise spans a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and neurodiversity. While her practice is grounded in CBT principles, it is enriched by her specialist training and ongoing academic development, ensuring a holistic, evidence-based model of care.
