Sam is a person-centred therapist committed to offering a warm, genuine, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel truly seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are right now. Within the person-centred approach, Sam deeply believes that each person already holds vast inner resources for self-understanding, growth, and positive change. His role is not to direct or advise, but to provide the facilitative conditions—empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard—that support clients in accessing their inner strengths, exploring their experiences at their own pace, and moving toward a fuller, more authentic life.

Sam warmly welcomes anyone seeking support, regardless of background, identity, circumstances, or the challenges they are facing. He is open to working with individuals from all walks of life and brings particular interest and experience in the areas of addiction and recovery, trauma processing, and men’s mental health. These are areas where Sam has seen how profoundly acceptance and self-understanding can support healing and transformation.

As a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), Sam adheres to their ethical framework and professional standards, ensuring safe, accountable, and high-quality practice. Sam’s own journey includes extensive charity work with NGOs across Africa, supporting communities through meaningful initiatives, as well as holding multiple degrees that have enriched his understanding of the human experience. Being well-travelled has further deepened Sam’s appreciation for diverse perspectives, cultures, and the universal human capacity for resilience and growth.

Whatever brings someone to therapy—whether navigating addiction, the lasting effects of trauma, the pressures surrounding masculinity and mental health, or simply a desire to feel more understood and empowered—Sam offers to walk alongside clients with respect for their autonomy, compassion for where they are today, and trust in their potential to change and flourish.
