Priya is an integrative counsellor (MBACP) and Doctorate in Counselling Psychology trainee, offering a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.

Her approach is integrative, which means she draws upon different therapeutic perspectives depending on the individual and what they bring to therapy. Priya believes that the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change, and she aims to work alongside clients with curiosity, compassion and respect for their individual experiences. She welcomes children, young adults, adults and couples.

Priya has experience supporting adults with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, addiction and substance use, life transitions, and experiences that can leave people feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves and others.

She also has experience supporting children and young people with their emotional and mental wellbeing, including work within educational settings and with children affected by domestic abuse. Priya aims to provide a safe, age-appropriate and supportive space in which younger clients can express themselves, build confidence and explore their experiences in a way that feels manageable for them. Where appropriate, she also recognises the importance of working collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals involved in a young person’s support.

Alongside individual therapeutic work, Priya has experience working within community and specialist services and is undertaking further training in relationship and couples counselling. She also welcomes couples who would like support to explore relationship difficulties, communication patterns, conflict, emotional disconnection or changes within their relationship. She aims to provide a balanced and non-judgemental space where both partners feel heard and understood. Her doctoral training in Counselling Psychology also informs a reflective and evidence-based approach to her practice.

Priya recognises that beginning therapy can feel daunting, particularly when it involves speaking about experiences that may have been difficult to share elsewhere. She therefore aims to provide a space where clients feel heard, understood, and able to explore what matters to them without judgement.
