Outi is a BACP-registered counsellor who integrates coaching skills into her work. In practice, this means that after initial sessions focused on helping you to hear your own voice and to feel seen, heard, understood and appreciated, there is an opportunity to work towards a real-life change.
Her hope for the first sessions is that you will learn to understand and accept yourself and your situation well enough to feel some calm and steady energy and a sense of freedom returning to your life. Then, if you find in yourself an appetite for change, she can draw on coaching techniques to help you explore your potential, perhaps to set some goals and to address any barriers to achieving them. And when you are ready to put the changes into action, she can be there to support your motivation and self-belief through any set-backs.
Throughout this process, working collaboratively with Outi, you’ll be invited to turn towards what really matters to you, what gives your life meaning. Together, you will look for new perspectives and ways to be you, cultivating an attitude of curiosity about your past, present and future and building on your courage to live creatively within the limits life sets you.
Outi has experience of working with clients aged 16+ experiencing ADHD/autism, death anxiety, depression/anxiety, suicidal feelings, exhaustion, sleep disturbance, attachment related problems, difficulties related to the expression of anger, self-harm, bereavement/loss, physical ill health, history of abuse, childhood trauma & neglect, substance misuse and stress.
