About Maddie
Maddie is a warm, compassionate and down-to-earth qualified therapist supporting young people aged 12+ and adults. She offers a safe and welcoming space where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing, without fear of judgement.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Maddie takes the time to understand you as an individual, including your experiences, relationships and what has brought you to therapy. She works collaboratively with you to explore what is happening and what you would like to be different.
Maddie believes therapy should be personal to you, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. As an integrative therapist, she draws on Humanistic therapy approaches such as Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), adapting these approaches to suit your needs, goals and circumstances.
She has experience supporting people with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low confidence, identity and self-worth, relationship difficulties, communication problems, trauma and life transitions.
Clients often describe working with Maddie as grounding, insightful and empowering. She aims to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, openness and respect, where you can be yourself and explore difficult things at your own pace.
Registered Member: Maddie works in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
