Lydia is a person-centred therapist who believes that every individual carries an innate capacity for self-understanding, healing, and growth. Her role is to sit alongside clients with steadiness and compassion, offering an attuned presence rather than direction, and supporting them in telling their story and reconnecting with what feels true and right for them. Her gentle, relational approach honours each client’s autonomy, pace, and the unfolding of their unique potential.

A professional member of the BACP, Lydia works with children, young people, and adults. She has completed six years of study, achieving a first-class BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and is currently completing an MSc in Advanced Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies.
Her additional training and qualifications include:
- Postgraduate training in trauma-responsive mindfulness
- Postgraduate training in Compassion-Focused Therapy
- Training in bereavement and loss
- Specialist training in expressive therapies
Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice
Lydia is passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients to find therapeutic approaches that genuinely work for them. Her academic research has focused on bullying, neurodiversity, and creative therapeutic methods, with particular attention to effective ways of working with individuals with ADHD, autism, and specific learning differences. She is committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice and to adapting therapy so it is accessible, validating, and responsive to each person’s needs.
Alongside her clinical training, Lydia has extensive experience across the health and social care sector, supporting people with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, and complex needs in forensic, inpatient, and community settings. These experiences have shaped her belief in valuing each individual’s differences and supporting them to find the path that feels right for them.
Creativity is woven throughout Lydia’s therapeutic work. She supports clients in exploring and communicating what matters to them in ways that feel natural and accessible, and understands that traditional talking therapy is not always the most helpful or comfortable approach. Her practice remains firmly client-led, grounded in person-centred values, and enriched by her specialist training in trauma-responsive, compassionate, and expressive modalities.
