Louise is a qualified counsellor and accredited registrant member of the NCPS who specialises in helping people untangle their thoughts and feelings, make sense of what is going on for them, and find a more positive way forward.
Louise provides a calm, straightforward space where clients can explore whatever’s on their mind at their own pace and without judgement.
Louise works with adults, teenagers and couples. Louise welcomes and works with people of all backgrounds, including all LGBTQ clients.
Louise has experience with a wide range of issues including:

- Low self-esteem

- Family issues
- Feeling stuck
- Bereavement and loss
- Attachment issues
Louise is an integrative counsellor based in the person-centred approach. Louise can bring useful tools from different counselling modalities as and when they best fit each client. There is no one size fits all, and Louise can adapt to each client’s unique needs.
Louise has previously worked in a community wellbeing hub offering accessible counselling to a wide range of clients, including those struggling with suicidal thoughts, self-harm and past trauma. Louise also has experience of working on a national crisis helpline supporting children and young people in distress. Louise’s recent counselling work has involved seeing clients from all walks of life with all sorts of challenges such as anxiety, family difficulties and low mood.
Louise is currently working towards a Level 7 Masters Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy with a focus on childhood attachment and adult relationship issues.
Louise also has the following training:
- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
- Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
- Level 6 NSPCC Childline Award
Louise is committed to ongoing development and consistently updates her knowledge and skills through CPD courses, reading and research.
