Emma offers a warm, welcoming space where you can begin to understand your story and reconnect with your sense of self. Her approach is holistic and compassionate, supporting you to take those first steps into the next chapter of your life with strength and hope.

She believes that healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted as you are. Counselling isn’t about fixing you it’s about creating a safe space where you can explore your experiences, understand your needs, and grow at your own pace.

As a qualified integrative practitioner, Emma recognises that no single approach fits everyone. She draws on a range of therapeutic models, thoughtfully weaving them together to meet your individual needs and support your emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing.

Her work integrates:

  • Person-Centred Therapy — creating a space where you feel truly heard, accepted, and understood, helping you find your own answers and trust that you are the expert in your own life
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — helping you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings, live in line with what matters most to you, and develop practical ways of coping day to day
  • Psychodynamic Therapy — looking at how your past experiences may influence how you feel, think, and relate to others in the present
  • Somatic Therapy — supporting you to reconnect with your body, helping you feel more grounded, regulated, and safe
  • Systemic and Attachment Perspectives — helping you understand your relationships, emotional patterns, and how you connect with others

Emma has extensive experience working with people who have been bereaved of someone important to them, as well as victim-survivors of domestic abuse, both women and men. She is highly experienced in supporting individuals living with the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and loss of identity.

Many of the people she has worked with have experienced challenges that have left them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are. Together, you will gently focus on rebuilding a sense of safety, self-trust, and emotional resilience, enabling you to move towards greater balance and confidence.

Areas Emma can support you with include:

  • Anxiety, stress, low mood, and depression
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Trauma
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Personal growth
  • Exploring identity
  • Life changes and transitions
  • Negative thinking patterns
  • Young people’s emotional wellbeing
  • Mindfulness and coping strategies
