Ella is a psychological therapist specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She holds a BA (Hons) in psychology from the University of Western Ontario and an MSc in Psychological Therapies from the University of Edinburgh.
Ella’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented. She works with clients to develop a shared understanding of how their difficulties are maintained by identifying the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional processes that contribute to distress. With this foundation, she supports clients in building practical, evidence-based strategies for sustainable change.
Drawing on CBT models and techniques, Ella helps clients to develop skills to manage unhelpful thinking patterns, regulate difficult emotions, reduce avoidance, and increase engagement in meaningful and valued activities. Therapy with Ella is active and structured, with clear goals and regular review of progress.
Ella is committed to creating a therapeutic space that is safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental. She welcomes clients of all genders, sexualities, and cultural backgrounds, and tailors her approach to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals.
