Deeya is a trainee Integrative Counsellor currently completing a Master’s Level 7 qualification in Counselling. She works with children, young people, and young adults aged 4–24, offering a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel heard, supported, and understood.
Her integrative approach means she adapts her work to suit each client’s age, developmental stage, personality, and individual needs. Deeya draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Play Therapy, creative and expressive techniques, and Systemic thinking.
Deeya believes that every young person experiences and communicates emotions differently. Some clients may benefit from exploring automatic negative thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and core beliefs through CBT-informed approaches, while others may express themselves more comfortably through play, creativity, art, storytelling, or other non-verbal forms of communication when words feel difficult. Her systemic understanding also considers the importance of relationships, family dynamics, and wider support systems in a young person’s wellbeing.
Her work is grounded in empathy with a strong focus on helping clients build self-awareness, emotional resilience, confidence, and overall well-being. Deeya aims to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to explore challenges at their own pace and work towards meaningful change.
