If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin, Claire offers a calm, down-to-earth space where you can talk openly – no judgment, no need to have the right words. As a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP (MBACP), Claire’s warm and approachable style makes it easier to take that first step.

Taking the first step is often the hardest. Maybe you sit down and don’t know where to start, or everything feels tangled up inside. Claire will meet you right where you are, working gently alongside you so the words come out in your own time, at your own pace.

Before training as a counsellor, Claire worked as a midwife. That experience still shapes how she understands the emotional side of pregnancy, loss, and how unexpected things can unfold. Now,  Claire volunteers on a miscarriage support helpline, working with people who have experienced pregnancy loss or are facing complex pregnancies.

She also works with individuals and couples when life no longer feels the same. This might be after pregnancy or baby loss, during fertility struggles, or living with a long-term health condition. These experiences can shift how you see yourself, your relationships, and your place in the world, even if everything looks “fine” on the outside.

In her work with couples, Claire supports partners who feel disconnected, stuck in patterns, or struggling to understand each other. This might be linked to fertility, loss, or health conditions, but it can also be the everyday strain that builds over time. She offers a space where both people can feel heard and begin to make sense of what’s happening between them.

Her approach is grounded in really listening and understanding what’s going on for you. Where helpful, she may bring in simple ideas from attachment to make sense of patterns or feelings, always in a way that feels accessible.

Claire has also supported people diagnosed with long-term health conditions through her work on an NHS helpline, and understands how much this can affect your confidence, identity, and day-to-day life.

She works with adults and couples and has experience supporting:

  • Pregnancy and baby loss
  • Fertility and IVF
  • Long-term health conditions
  • Identity and life changes
  • Relationship difficulties and couples work
  • Loss and grief

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. Start exactly where you are – even if that’s just a few words, or none at all. Claire welcomes you as you are, making it easier to begin.
