Beth is a dedicated and empathetic Psychological Therapist with a strong commitment to assisting her clients in achieving personal growth and fulfilling their objectives. She holds a BPS-accredited MA in Psychology (Hons) and an MSc in Psychological Therapies from the University of Edinburgh, which has enabled her to specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Beth’s expertise extends to working with both children and adults, with a primary focus on individuals up to the age of 30. Her experience is derived from various placements during her MSc program, as well as her roles as a Telephone Counsellor at ChildLine and Crisis Volunteer at Shout.
Beth emphasizes the importance of setting meaningful and attainable goals for her clients. In pursuit of these goals, she predominantly employs CBT techniques while working towards accreditation with the BABCP. Additionally, she integrates methods from other therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Counselling.
Beth is committed to welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds. Regardless of age, developmental stage, race, religion, sexuality, or gender, clients will be treated with respect, dignity, and kindness. She adopts a curious and collaborative approach to understanding each client as an individual, and she is dedicated to learning what she does not yet know to better support them.
