As the leaders in offering Counselling in Nottingham, we also offer Psychological Assessment and Diagnosis for Adults and Children in Nottingham. My Solution Wellbeing, in partnership with The Neuro Medical Group, has created a pathway to carry out a psychological assessment and diagnosis for both adults, young people and children. There is no waiting list and we get started straight away.
Within our psychological assessment, we evaluate a person’s mental health, behaviour, and abilities and is conducted by a mental health professional and a qualified psychologist. It involves gathering information through various methods like interviews, observations, and psychological tests to understand a person’s strengths, weaknesses, and any potential mental health concerns.
Psychological Assessment and Diagnosis
Your 2 Phase Journey with The Neuro Medical Group Phase 1: Pre-Assessment: £250
This is a face to face or online session where we gather details on your symptoms and medical history through our standardised questionnaire. This session is 50 mins long and will take place with an Assistant Psychologist or Counsellor. The cost for this
assessment is £250. If you have any medical assessments and diagnoses that may be useful for the pre-screening, please email these through to us on booking. Your
Pre-Assessment will be assessed at Triage in order for us to allocate the specialist Doctors to work with you.
Phase 2:
The Psychological Assessment with the doctor is face to face or online. This is a 90 minute consultation with a clinical assessment, diagnosis, and a comprehensive report that follows This includes a thorough review of all relevant documentation and medical history, including GP records. The cost of this session for adults is £850 and Children is £895.
The process will also include:
- A psychological screening of the patient
- An assessment of strengths and difficulties
- A review of existing carer support
Following the consultation, there will be a collaborative team analysis of the findings. This will contribute to:
- A formal diagnosis if
- Clear feedback and tailored
- A personalised, comprehensive written report and care
Disclaimer: In complex cases, or when clinical judgements indicate, we may not be able to provide a diagnosis. In such instances, we will clearly communicate this to the patient and provide guidance on alternative options.
