Mental health plays a critical role in your overall wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel and behave on a daily basis. With the growing concerns and awareness on mental health and the need to destigmatise mental health issues, psychiatric assessments and diagnosis have become even more essential.
Mental assessments and diagnosis are a critical factor in delivering effective mental health care and support. That is why My Solution Wellbeing offers psychiatric assessment and diagnosis in partnership with Neuro Medical Group.
The assessment and diagnostic processes are first and professional and available for both adults and children across the UK.
Whether it’s clarity, reassurance or seeking treatment guidance, we have an expert team that is ready to support your mental health journey.
Phase 1: Pre-Assessment- £250
Our psychiatric assessment and diagnosis is a two-step journey with the Neuro Medical Group. It starts with the pre-assessment consultation that can be done face-to-face or as an online consultation with one of the assistant psychologists or counsellors in our team.
The pre-assessment process lasts about 50 minutes. During the session, we gather information about your symptoms, mental history and relevant lifestyle factors through one-on-one discussions. The goal of the session is to understand your needs and ensure that you’re matched with the most appropriate clinician for your care.
As part of your preparation for the pre-assessment, you should gather any past psychiatric or medical assessments, reports or other relevant documentations. You can email this to our office after making your booking. Our triage team will review your pre-assessment sessions and guide you on the next steps.
Phase 2: Psychiatric Assessment with Consultant Psychiatrist
This is a 90-minute in-depth consultation conducted either face-to-face or online. The cost of this session is:
- Adults – £850
- Children – £895
The second part of the assessment and diagnosis is a 90-minute in-depth consultation that is conducted either face-to-face or online with a qualified consultant psychiatrist.
During the assessment, the psychiatrist will conduct a full evaluation and review your current concerns, medical history and other information. The session also includes a clinical assessment, diagnostic formulation and a discussion of appropriate treatment options that may include medication, psychological therapy or a combined approach.
After the consultation is concluded, we will have a collaborative team that goes through the findings to determine a formal diagnosis, if necessary, clear feedback and tailored recommendations and a personalised comprehensive report and care plan.
A thorough psychiatric assessment and diagnosis can be the first and most crucial step into discovering any underlying mental challenges and ensuring you get the care and support you need to start living a better and fuller life.
