Our Aims:
We understand the process of mediation from the preparation stage right through to finalising an agreement.
We understand the role mediation plays in the commercial and legal industry.
We support and move parties from their positions to their interests and needs in a safe and confidential manner.
What does Mediation mean? Mediation is a process wherein the parties meet with a mutually selected impartial and neutral person who assists them in the negotiation of their differences.
Is Mediation the same as Counselling?
No. In mediation, you will discuss the practical and legal arrangements you will make about for example, your children and your financial arrangements. It is to help you sort out the arrangements after your relationship has broken down.
Outcomes might include:
- an acknowledgement of each party’s views
- a commitment to change behaviour
- a commitment to regularly review the agreement reached
- an agreement to review policies and procedures
- an agreement to share work more fairly and provide more responsibility
How does it work?
We come together with all the parties involved to come to a mutually beneficial agreement between the parties. We will look into the issues at hand and work together to find the best outcomes.
Our aim when coming to these agreements is that they are beneficial for both parties and both parties are happy with what they achieved within the mediation.
We aim to avoid court as we believe that mediation can prevent animosity. We know with the correct facilitation between parties and ourselves, we can resolve the dispute in a calm environment.
You will have your voice heard. We will listen and support the parties through this disagreement with no criticism and no judgment.
My Solution Wellbeing mediate in multiple areas including commercial such as business mediation to resolve issues in the work place or in business arrangements. We also mediate in civil areas such as any issues such as divorces and making it a peaceful and easy matter. Relationship Disputes:
Our mediator take you details and run through a questionnaire as well as understanding your situation. At the end both family mediation and yourself should be happy to move forward to a joint meeting.
Court proceedings where both parties are in conflict, and where court costs can rapidly escalate, are not considered to be the best way to conduct divorce or separation proceedings.
The best way to proceed is to use reason, discussion and mutual agreement to reach a solution that benefits both parties, and of course the children of the parties.
You can come to mediation whether you are married or not; whether you have already separated or are about to; whether or not you have children and whether or not you are already divorced. You can use mediation if you are a Grandparent wanting to see a Grandchild. You can use mediation even if you have not yet seen a solicitor.
Feedback from our clients shows that couples find mediation of particular benefit when they have children. In this case, you will need to be able to co-operate with each other about your children’s upbringing for some time to come, if not for the rest of your lives so mediation at My Solution Wellbeing will support you to do this.
My Solution Wellbeing will talk through the issues at hand with the utmost care to make sure that all the issues at hand are heard. We will also put the time and effort in to the issues to make it an easy process.
We will do an assessment in the first instance to see whether it is viable for mediation an answer any questions you may have.
Is this a confidential service?
Yes. We have a no judgment policy where nothing said will be criticised or judged. Along with this nothing said can be repeated within court as they are private sessions to encourage openness and truthfulness with the mediator. When you come to us, we will help you through the process as best we can.
Our clients are in charge of the process in finding the best outcomes and having a smooth process.
Do you need a lawyer?
We as mediators are not able to give you any legal advice on the matter you bring to us and so we will always recommend you obtain legal advice alongside the mediation if needed for example if you need advice financially or with a legal component where we cannot help you.
