Children counselling creates a safe, empathetic space for children to express their emotions and talk about the things that are troubling them. Like adults, children face their fair share of challenges that might compromise their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Our children’s counselling focuses on age-appropriate communication, play and creativity to help children convey their feelings naturally. Our counselling also focuses on developmental considerations that help to address academic stress, family dynamics and trauma. The counselling also helps children learn and build coping skills and resilience to navigate life and educational transitions.
Our Children Counselling Services
Mental health has become a growing concern for young people with one in 10 people having a mental problem. Children have also experienced rising mental health problems over the last five years making it crucial for parents to know where to find help for their children.
My Solution Wellbeing provides support for children suffering from various mental and emotional issues such as:
- Stress
- Eating disorders
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Emotional behaviour
- Schizophrenia
- Obsessive compulsive disorder
- Sleep disorder
- Personality disorder
- Body dysmorphic
- Challenging behaviour
Children undergo constant changes over the years and this plays a crucial factor when diagnosing and treating emotional and behavioural disorders in children.
My Solution Wellbeing specialises in a variety of children counselling and therapy and one-to-one treatment for the children we work with.
Our services are available online, face-to-face and by video counselling and we support children aged as little as 3 years to 18 years old.
Our Approach to Children Counselling

We offer an extensive range of children counselling services that include motivational interviewing, CBT, solution focused therapy and mindfulness among others. We also support children that have gone through:

- Exam pressure
- Cyber bullying
- Art therapy
- Peer pressure
It is important for parents to keep an eye out for signs of deteriorating mental health. Signs like lack of motivation, unexplained anger, moody all the time and inability to regulate their feelings and emotions require immediate attention from a child counsellor to determine any underlying issues and begin working towards a resolution.
As part of our children’s counselling, we offer a free initial discussion about your children’s therapy and potential support.
We offer same-day appointments and also do home visits to ensure we can support children in environments where they feel most comfortable and safe.
